AHL was excited to start an official link-up in August 2019 with the library at Makeni School of Clinical Sciences. AHL started its relationship with the School back in 2015, following the ebola epidemic which had caused the opening of the School to be delayed. AHL and Makeni School of Clinical Sciences successfully applied to the 2015 BMA Information Fund for books for its library, which is staffed by the School’s own qualified librarian and library assistant.
Additional books were added to the library in 2019, from donations by the Oxford Book Transplant Scheme and more recently from Book Aid International. The most recent shipment arrived at the School in August 2019. We look forward to continuing a link-up with this important library, supporting the training of Sierra Leone’s future healthcare workforce.
