The new public health library service was opened at the Department of Community Health Sciences in November 2019!
AHL worked with the Department, COMAHS Library Services (College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, University of Sierra Leone) and the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team*, to ship 26 boxes of high quality books, donated by the UKPHRST and Book Aid International.
AHL staff in Sierra Leone assisted with delivery and processing/labelling of books, and shared AHL systems of borrowing and data collection. AHL staff continue regular contact with the Department's librarian.
*The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team is delivered by Public Health England and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, funded by UK AID from the Department of Health and Social Care.
